"NadaNadador" is a composed word from the spanish "Nada" that signifies "Nothing" and
from "Nadador" that signifies "Swimmer." Swimming in the nothing servas as an analogy
to describe progress. The project exposes a compulsive corporate society that redefines
human beings into products of the free-trade. This new ergonomic being adapts effortlessly
to the eternal movement of the global economy in a continuos and futile synchronized dance.
Inside a room, a group of animated swimmers are projected onto a translucent screen
suspended on air. A white plastic pedestal, lit within, located in the center of the room
emanates a light that makes the elements in the room seem floating on the empty space.
The user must "merge" the swimmers to activate the different elements of the piece.
Movies, monologues and animations appear according to the action of the mouse of
a computer hidden within the pedestal.
This is a multilingual piece that communicates in german, english, japanese and spanish.
